A photographer documenting the backstage world of international fashion shows. While most lenses are pointed towards the runway, Lena looks for stories just a few metres away — where emotion, tension, focus, and chaos unfold. Her archetypal trio consists of The Raver, The Thinker, and The Avantgardist.
The Raver is reflected in the energy she draws from the world around her — the intensity of backstage, its speed and constant movement, and the collision of people, ideas, and cultures. The Thinker reveals itself in her desire to look beneath the surface. She is interested not only in the clothes themselves, but in the relationship between a person and what they wear: how clothing shapes personality and how personality, in turn, changes the meaning of clothing. And The Avantgardist? In her willingness to seek out new perspectives. To go where others don’t, take risks for a single shot, and find beauty where most people overlook it.
It is precisely the combination of these three archetypes that allows her to find surprising depth and humanity in a world so often dismissed as superficial.
